I love the Loveybums myself! Wool seems scary at first, but really it's not so bad. Sudz and Dudz are my favorite wool washes - they have a convenient lanolin spray too.

Sounds like great births. I have family members who have done UC's or freebirthings. My Grandma had 2 UC out of 5 kids, and my husband has cousins who had all 3 UC.

I think its a personal decision that the parents make, and hope everyone is informed about the procedure, risk, etc. I can't make a choice for a parent.
